Loofahs not only wear out very quickly but they indeed are a fest for germs. This device can be put in a washing bag in the washer every week for sanitation or soaked in a home solution. This is firm and flexible enough for a good scrub and it does lather sufficiently. My skin does feel noticeably cleaner using this. Loofahs lather well but just smear foam around on your skin. So unless foam eats dirt and germs you are not getting the full clean. The combination of firm yet flexible bristles on this device make the epidermis cleaner in my estimation. Love it!

I love using this instead of a loofa. The spikey side is amazing for helping get the shampoo in deep without hurting it actually feels amazing !!! The brush part is wonderful for cleaning the body and does a great job getting everything clean! I’ve had mine for about a year so it lasts a long time.

after discovering how much bacteria accumulates on a loofah, i researched alternatives. this had good reviews -- good product, high quality, lathers well and does not breed bacteria
